The US president’s reported action comes hours after he accused the Ukrainian leader of not wanting peace.
United States President Donald Trump has halted military aid to Ukraine in a significant escalation of his dispute with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to US media reports.
Trump will suspend all aid until he determines that Kyiv is committed to engaging in good faith peace negotiations, Bloomberg News and Fox News reported on Monday, citing unnamed Trump administration officials.
This decision follows Trump’s accusation on his platform Truth Social that Zelenskyy does not desire peace “as long as he has America’s backing.”
