Bhopal: A hospital in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, became the center of a shocking incident when a patient walked out onto the road with a catheter and breathing tube still attached, accusing the hospital authorities of fraud.

The patient, Bunty Nimama, alleged that his hands and legs were tied to a bed at GD Hospital, and his family was falsely informed that he was in a coma to compel them to purchase expensive medicines and continue paying for his treatment. However, the hospital authorities released CCTV footage and claimed that Mr. Nimama had caused a disturbance in the ICU and verbally abused the doctors. An inquiry has now been ordered against the hospital.

A video of the incident, which has since gone viral, shows Mr. Nimama walking out of the hospital with the medical equipment still attached and protesting on the road. As the situation escalated, personnel from the Industrial Police Station arrived to control the commotion, and district authorities took notice of the matter.

Mr. Nimama’s family stated that he was initially admitted to another medical facility following a dispute with a neighbor and was later transferred to the privately-run GD Hospital.

After the video went viral, Collector Rajesh Batham ordered an investigation. A three-member team visited the hospital, and an official, Ashish Chaurasia, assured that the matter would be investigated impartially. Statements from all parties involved will be recorded before a final report is submitted.

Meanwhile, the hospital administration maintained its stance, releasing CCTV footage that allegedly shows Mr. Nimama creating a commotion in the ICU and abusing the doctors. The hospital has also filed a complaint against Mr. Nimama at the Industrial Area Police Station, claiming he has a criminal history.
