New Delhi:
Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu’s sparkling chemistry, both on and off-screen, has always been a topic of discussion over the years. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Dino Morea recalled the time when they parted ways during the shooting of Raaz and how Bipasha Basu found it “difficult” to cope with the changes on set.
Dino Morea also shared how they overcame their initial hesitance after their breakup and eventually became best friends.
“During the filming of Raaz, we were breaking up, Bipasha and I, and to be honest, it was me who was breaking up with Bipasha because we had some issues. She found it very tough, and I was seeing her every day on set. She was upset. It was very, very difficult for me to see someone I care about so much go through that,” he said.
Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu tried to resolve their issues, but things were falling apart.
“We had already chosen different paths. We even tried to fix things, but it just wasn’t working out. Eventually, I moved on,” he added.
“It was a tough moment because when you’re parting ways with someone you’ve spent years with, and during that time, you’re still working together, it makes it even harder,” Dino reflected. The duo worked together in films like Gunaah, Ishq Hai Tumse, Rakht, and Chehraa.
Dino Morea also shared how, with time, bitterness took a backseat. “We became the best of friends after that. That moment is very tough; it’s full of anger, emotions, and rage. But with time, you realize it was just a moment. I really enjoy her company, and she enjoys mine, so let’s at least be friends,” he concluded.
Dino Morea even attended Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover’s reception in 2016. Dino and Bipasha first met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. They fell in love and were in a relationship from 1996 to 2001.
