Ardonagh Advisory has acquired Anderson & Co (Holdings) and its subsidiary Anderson & Co (Insurance Brokers).
Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
Blackpool-based brokerage Anderson focuses on commercial and personal lines.
The company’s leadership will remain under the guidance of Christine McLellan, who has been at the helm since 1993 and will continue her role as managing director.
The Anderson team will integrate into the North Division of Ardonagh Advisory General Insurance (GI) Broking.
This division is under the leadership of Stephen Boyd, North divisional managing director.
Boyd said: “I am thrilled to welcome Anderson & Co to Ardonagh Advisory. Their commitment to building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service aligns perfectly with our values. With their decades of expertise and strong reputation, they will play a key role in strengthening our presence in Lancashire and driving future growth.”
McLellan added: “This is an exciting step for Anderson & Co as we join forces with Ardonagh Advisory. Their resources and support will allow us to enhance our offering while staying true to the values that have defined our business for over 50 years. I look forward to continuing to lead our fantastic team and building on the strong foundations we have created.”
In December 2024, Stone Point Capital entered an agreement to invest in Ardonagh Group, becoming its significant shareholder.
Last year in October, Ardonagh Advisory Broking Holdings, the small to medium-sized enterprise broking platform of Ardonagh Group, reached an agreement to acquire Rowett Insurance Broking in the UK.
Rowett, with offices in St Austell, Plymouth, and Darlington, County Durham, provides a diverse range of insurance products encompassing commercial and personal lines.
