Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced its sales figures for the fiscal year 2024-25. According to data released by the Indian arm of the Japanese automaker, the company recorded a 19% year-on-year growth, achieving sales of 58.31 lakh units. A significant contribution to this figure came from the sales of 427,448 units in March 2025, which included 401,411 units sold in the domestic market and 26,037 units exported overseas.
The fiscal year 2024-25 has been pivotal for Honda, marking its entry into the electric vehicle (EV) segment. The company launched the Activa e: and the QC1 in the Indian market, with deliveries commencing in March 2025. In parallel, the internal combustion engine (ICE) segment saw the introduction of the CB300F, a 300 cc flex-fuel motorcycle. Additionally, Honda updated its entire lineup to comply with OBD-2B standards, covering models such as the Activa, Dio, and Shine, among others.
Honda’s 125cc motorcycles, the Shine and SP125, have collectively surpassed milestones of over 3 million customers in Eastern India and 1 million in Madhya Pradesh. The company has also crossed the 20 million sales mark in South India. In the premium motorcycle segment, Honda’s BigWing division expanded its offerings with the launch of the all-new NX200, alongside updated versions of the CB650R and CBR650R.
In the realm of motorsports, Honda achieved notable successes. Mohsin Paramban emerged victorious in the 2024 IDEMITSU Honda Indian Talent Cup NSF250R, while Monster Energy Honda HRC secured a second consecutive double podium finish at the Dakar Rally, with Tosha Schareina and Adrien Van Beveren clinching 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
