The strikes targeting the capital struck a residential home and injured more than 20 people, according to Houthi authorities.
United States airstrikes have killed at least four people in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, according to the Ministry of Health.
The attacks on the capital on Sunday struck a home and wounded more than 20 others, including four women and children, according to local sources.
US warplanes also launched three additional airstrikes on the Al Jabal al Aswad area in the Bani Matar district, west of the capital. No casualty details were available at the time of reporting.
Earlier, the Houthis reported that US airstrikes killed at least two people overnight in Saada, a Houthi stronghold, and injured nine others.
Footage broadcast by the Houthis’ Al Masirah satellite news channel showed a strike causing the collapse of what appeared to be a two-story building.
The intensified campaign of US airstrikes in Yemen, under President Donald Trump, has targeted the Iranian-aligned Houthi group in response to their attacks on shipping lanes in the Red Sea. The Yemeni group has been carrying out these attacks in solidarity with Palestinians amid Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza.
Dozens of people in Yemen have been killed in the recent wave of US strikes, which resumed last month on Trump’s orders. Civilians have been hit, families wiped out, military sites destroyed, and soldiers killed.
The White House stated that there have been over 200 strikes conducted so far.
The US airstrikes began after the Houthis announced plans to resume targeting Israeli-linked ships in response to Israel blocking aid from entering the Gaza Strip and resuming its military campaign, which ended a six-week ceasefire on March 18.
From November 2023 until January this year, the Houthis targeted more than 100 commercial vessels with missiles and drones.
They also launched attacks aimed at US warships.
