MG Teases Comet Blackstorm Edition Ahead of India Launch

JSW MG Motor India has introduced a series of special edition versions of its cars in the Indian market under the "Blackstorm" edition. Expanding this lineup, the brand is set to launch the Blackstorm version of its Comet EV. Notably, the Comet EV is the smallest vehicle in the brand’s portfolio and will receive a special black-themed makeover in this edition. It is expected that the Blackstorm version will be based on the top-spec variant of the electric vehicle.

The MG Comet Blackstorm Edition will feature a black paint scheme, accentuated by red highlights across the body. These red accents will be visible on the bumper and the "Morris Garages" lettering on the front fascia, positioned above the LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) that span the width of the vehicle. Additionally, the car will come with black alloy wheels enhanced with red accents. The rest of the design will remain consistent with the standard version.

The compact electric vehicle comes equipped with several features, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, remote central locking, keyless entry, a smart start system, power-foldable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), tilt steering, auto-up windows, voice command functionality, and various connectivity features.

The MG Comet EV is powered by a 17.3 kWh battery pack, which is claimed to deliver a range of up to 230 km on a single charge. It is paired with an electric motor that generates 41 hp of power and 110 Nm of peak torque.
