Skoda has unveiled a teaser for an upcoming seven-seater electric SUV, which will be the production version of the Vision 7S Concept. The model was introduced with a modern design language, which has since been adopted for the new Epiq. Once launched, it will become the most expensive vehicle in Skoda’s lineup. The latest teaser image offers a glimpse of the design of this flagship electric vehicle.
The upcoming SUV, with its seven-seat configuration, is expected to be as large as the outgoing Kodiaq, which is currently the brand’s largest model on the market. Additionally, it will hold the title of being Skoda’s most expensive vehicle. These features will position the SUV to compete with models like the Kia EV9 and the Hyundai Ioniq 9.
The teaser image of the seven-seater Skoda electric SUV showcases the silhouette of the front, rear, and rear quarter of the vehicle. Based on the images, some design elements resemble those of the Epiq. It will feature a unique headlamp design, complemented by a DRL (Daytime Running Light) positioned above it, seamlessly integrating with the distinctive grille design. This will be paired with a new bumper design and completely redesigned alloy wheels.
The upcoming SUV is likely to be based on the MEB EV platform, which also underpins Volkswagen vehicles. Thanks to this platform, the SUV is expected to offer both single and dual electric motor powertrains. Additionally, the electric vehicle is anticipated to have a range of up to 600 km on a single charge, similar to the range claimed for the Vision 7S Concept.
